Dr Abu Jamei Meets Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley To Explain MH Situation in the Gaza Strip

Director General of Gaza Community Mental Health Programme, Dr Yasser Abu Jamei,  has visited on Friday, February 10, 2023 Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley in her office, where he explained to her the metal health challenges that Gaza Youth and children experience due to the prolonged siege imposed on the densely populated coastal strip.

“Thank you Dr. Abu-Jamei for a meaningful conversation about the youth mental health crisis in Gaza. Our destinies are tied and no child should ever experience this sort of violence and trauma,” Ms Pressley tweeted.

Dr Abu Jamei has been on a visit to the United States since January 23, 2023 to campaign for supporting  mental health and human rights in the Gaza Strip whose population is suffering an increasing deterioration in mental health situation as a result of a host of complex political and economic reasons.
