“GCMHP Provides Training Session On Connotations of Children’s Drawing in Cooperation with Qattan Center”

Gaza Community Mental Health Programme held On Wednesday, November 30, 2022,  a training session about the psychological connotations of children’s drawings, targeting 19 mothers, in cooperation with the Qattan Center for the Child in Gaza City.

The course aimed at helping mothers to identify their children's needs, tendencies, interests, and the causes of some behavioral problems through the psychological implications of their drawings.

The session, conducted by Osama Freina, GCMHP psychologist,  included an explanation of a variety of indications that are used in psychology as an important tool in identify children’s problems because drawing constitutes a natural externalization factor for children, explaining that the child tends to use “the language of drawing more effectively than the language of letters”.

Mr Freina, who is an expert in children drawing as a mental health diagnostic tool, had made his first presentation on this topic in the International Children's Day workshop held by GCMHP  in late November – a topic which received wide interest among organizations working in the field of childhood.
