Groups of students from different Schools have visited on 10 and 11 occtober, 2022, Gaza Community Mental Health Programme as part of Campaign activities done to mark World Mental Health Day which is celebrated every year on the 10th of October.
The visits have been organized in cooperation between GCMHP and different girl and boy schools of different levels, in order to educate students on the concept of mental health, the services provided by GCMHP and the mechanisms of providing various interventions.
The student delegations were escorted on a tour inside GCMHP’s clinic and other different departments in the headquarters so as to be introduced on the methods of providing psychological treatment and referrals.
The students were also provided with a simplified explanation of ways to identify people who need psychological support and the concept of mental disorders.
These visits are being organized together with a host of other activities in collaboration with various parties from the local community to raise awareness, promote mental health and psychological wellbeing, enhance access to mental health services and eliminate stigma in the Palestinian community.
The student visits come as part of an integrated media campaign organized by GCMHP.
