Dr. Diab and Ms. Hamam welcomed all the participant emphasizing the importance of maintaining collaborative links between the organisations.

Mr. Ziadah talked about the impressive and pride-worthy role of GCMHP in training a group of professional supervisors who started training in 2013. This, he stated, transformed Professional Supervision from being an idea to a reality emphasizing the responsibility of all professionals to diffuse the culture of professional supervision in all of the organisations working in the humanitarian field.

The supervision training team, which consists of Ms. Rawya Hamam, Psychologist Khitam Abu Shawareb, Dr. Sami Eweida, and Psychiologist Osama Freina, reviewed the experience that GCMHP has had with professional supervision since the early 90s. In this experience, the programme had to invite and host international supervisors who trained the current local supervisors in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting included working groups who discussed the experiences and expertise of the participants as well as viewing their successes and the challenges they have faced and how they dealt with them.

All participants expressed hopes to have a more sustainable presence of professional supervision.
