Animator Training in Preparation for ‘Summer Fun Weeks’ Finalized

GCMHP Department of Training and Scientific Research finalized On Wednesday, July 3, 2019, a training for summer camp animators.

19 female and male football and volleyball coaches have participated in the training which has been arranged in cooperation with the German Development Agency (GIZ)

The coaches came from 4 different clubs: Al-Maghzi Service Club, Beith Hanoun Youth Club, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society Club – Khan Younis, and Al-Hilal Sports club.

The training which consisted of 15 hours focused on the concept of Summer camps and their components and the needs of the children. In addition, it provided the trainees with a good insight into the educational animation, visual arts, theatrical performance, creative writing, developmental education and teamwork and activity organization approaches.

At the end of the course the participants were validated and recognized for their effort. Then they were handed out certificates.
