“GCMHP discusses mental health gaps & psychological wellbeing with ICRC delegation”

A delegation from the International Commission of the Red Cross has Visited on Monday, 2 September 2019 the HQ of Gaza Community Mental Health Programme to discuss the mental health gaps and the psychological wellbeing of the people in Gaza, especially in Jabalia Town.
The delegation included Ms Andrew Gardiner, Regional Urban Livelihood Specialist, and Mr Robin Mansfield, external consultant for the ICRC.
During the meeting the delegation discussed the nature of the intervention and psychosocial support that the Programme provides to the population through its services. They also discussed the MH gaps and needs in the Gaza Strip.
At the end of the meeting the delegation had a tour in the GCMHP facilities and community centre and were introduced to the work process of the Programme.
